The programme for High Tech Systems is a cooperation of Dutch companies and knowledge suppliers. It is designed to give this sector a push by enhancing the cohesion in research and the exchange of available knowledge by: setting up a network programme in which chains of companies will be developing roadmaps together and use these as a basis for defining research and development programmes. Furthermore network activities or joint education programmes will be initiated. This will strengthen the chains of companies, bundling research and development and gearing it to demand by way of the roadmaps. The programme focuses on mechatronic equipment development and distinguishes three research programmes: Motion systems for Semicon and Printing, Nano-positioning and Scientific Instruments and Autonomous and Intelligent motion systems for Bio-medical and Domestic use. The research will be carried out by joint teams of OEM’s, suppliers and Knowledge suppliers. Through its activities, the Programme for High Tech Systems intends to ensure that technical and industrial competences have a solid foundation for further development. In doing so, we will make a significant contribution to a healthy growth (5-10% a year) of the companies involved over the next few years.
